A/C Sales co-op program has been growing tremendously since its inception in 1996.  Our co-op program prides itself on providing students with meaningful and challenging work unlike other companies who utilize co-ops as "errand runners". The students who work at A/C Sales are integral to the daily business of the company and their efforts directly affect our success.

The day-to-day tasks of a co-op include general office duties, pulling and shipping orders, receiving, stocking, estimation, submitting product proposals, ordering equipment, information gathering, as well as interaction with customers.  Each of the semesters spent working with A/C Sales adds a new aspect of the business to the responsibilities of the co-op.  The complex nature of the mechanical contracting industry necessitates co-ops that can handle a steep learning curve and possess a flexible project-oriented mindset.

By being involved first hand with the operations of the company, a co-op employee is exposed to aspects of ISyE such as: Information Flow, Warehousing, Human Integrated Systems, Database Management, Value Engineering and use of common ISyE software including Access, Excel and Word.  There are many opportunities to not only evaluate and propose efficiency increasing changes but also see those concepts realized.  Students majoring in Mechanical Engineering will see real world examples of material covered in courses such as: Machine Design, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Fluid and Thermal Engineering, and especially Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.  An intricate understanding of HVAC systems as they apply to all types of commercial buildings is also one of the major benefits to ME grads.

Since inception, the co-op program at A/C Sales has produced several ISyE co-op graduates, four of whom decided to continue their career with A/C Sales after graduation.  Our company firmly believes that the co-op is in the driver's seat as they can reach limitless opportunities with A/C Sales.  A/C Sales looks for candidates who are detail oriented, have a thirst for knowledge, and are self-driven and enthusiatic.  All of our co-ops are currently for the Georgia Institute of Technology, but we are looking for candidates from other accredited universities as well.
